Micklem has been awarded two posts for four years to apply the technology developed in the FlyMine project to the dissemination of data produced as part of the $57m US NIH modENCODE project (<a href="http://www.modencode.org">www.modencode.org</a>). This programme will generate an unprecedented amount of data about functional elements in the genomes of the fruit fly <i>Drosophila melanogaster</i> and the nematode <i>Caenorhabditis elegans</i>.
